Prof.T.J.Sawant, is  a person with lot of ambitions, with capacity to achieve them. In 1998, he initiated the formation of public charitable trust  “Jayawant Shikshan Prasarak Mandal”, with a vision to establish quality educational institutes in Pune.

The First unit of JSPM started in the year 2001 under the “Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering” at Tathawade, a developing suburb in PCMC area near software park.

At the Inception, the college got permission for 150 students only. It was the dream of Prof.T.J.Sawant to see that the college gets best results from the first batch, in University of Pune. Many new and innovative methods were implemented to achieve the academic excellence. The dream came true and in the year 2013 the college achieved the award from University of Pune as “Best Professional College”. The college received National Board of Accreditation certificate for creating best academic and infrastructural facilities.

Through JSPM, Prof.T.J.Sawant established educational campus at Tathawade, Hadapsur, Wagholi, Bavdhan, Narhe at various suburbs of Pune City. Since 2014, campus is functioning at Barshi (a town in Solapur Dist). All these campuses are having quality educational Institutes, schools and Colleges with excellent Infrastructure and Academic ambience.

After establishing the academic institutions, Prof.T.J.Sawant has undertaken a new mission to start sugar factories in western Maharashtra since last five years. So far five sugar factories are established and they are functioning with excellent productivity, which is a great achievement by any standards.

Prof.T.J.Sawant is aiming to start well equipped state-of-art Hospital and Medical college on one of the campuses. Establishing a Private University is also an ambitious project of our Founder Secretary T.J.Sawant.

Thus JSPM has short existence but it has lot of achievements and success stories.
