She is representating india as an ambassador. She has successfully completed three week wholesome Leadership Development Programme at ASHA Centre Gloucesterchire-U.K. The development programme has been organized by Lila Poonawalla Foundation, Pune for betterment of the world, bringing about harmony and resolution of conflict in and around the community. She has been congratulated by our founder secretory Prof. T.J.Sawant Sir, Principal Dr.K.R.Khandelwal , staff members and the students for her achievement.

Seminar on Study Abroad

A seminar was organized on study abroad on 19th Sep. 17. It was conducted by Mr.George, representative from Denver, Colorado State University, US. He explained the procedure for admission in foreign universities and answered the queries of the students. Principal Dr.K.R.Khandelwal, staff members and the students of RSCOPR attended the seminar.

One Day Workshop on Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education Institute : Process and Framework.

Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy and Research, Tathawade has organized One Day Workshop on Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education Institute : Process and Framework on 10th Sep.17. Principals and the staff members from hadapsar and wagholi pharmacy colleges were present for the workshop. Dr. Thite has guided the staff members and answered the queries. Principal Dr.K.R.Khandelwal and all the staff members of Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy and Research, Tathawade were present and took efforts to make the event successful.

Guest Lecture on Career Opportunities in Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacovigilance

Guest Lecture was organized on “Career Opportunities in Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacovigilance” on 4th.08.17. Mrs. Archana Gawade, Director, Elite Institute of Pharma Skills delivered the lecture. Students of Third and Final Year B.Pharm attended the lecture. Speaker was introduced by Prof.Pranali Alkutkar and vote of thanks given by Prof. Manisha Chavan. All the staff members attended the seminar.

JSPM Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy and Research, Pune organized Blood Donation Camp on 29.9.17.

Blood Donation Camp has been organized on 29.9.17 at JSPM Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy and Research, Tathawade, Pune in collaboration with Red Plus Blood Bank, Pune. More than 100 candidates donated blood. Inauguration was done by the hands of Principal Dr.K.R.Khandelwal. All the staff members were present during the event.

JSPM Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy and Research, Pune organized Pharma Rally & Street Play for Swine Flu Awareness

Street Play was done by M.Pharm students of JSPM Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy and Research, Tathawade, Pune to make awareness among the people regarding swine flu. The event was organized as a part of Pharmacists Day Celebration on 25.9.17. Principal Dr.K.R.Khandelwal and the staff members of RSCOPR guided the students.

Guest Lecture on Introduction to Young Inspirators Network was organized on 2nd. Aug. 17. First and Second Year B.Pharm students participated in the seminar. Mrs.Snehal Khanolkar, PCMC Coordinator and Mr. Hemant Rajast, Member, Young Inspirators Network delivered the lectures. Introduction and vote of thank has been given by Prof. Pranali Alkutkar.

Industrial Visit to Maharashtra Ayurved Centre Pvt.Ltd.,Pune.

Industrial Visit was organized for Final Year B.Pharm and M.Pharm students to Maharashtra Ayurved Centre Pvt. Ltd., Pune, on 25.02.17.  It is an Industry Centre by Dept. of AYUSH (Govt. of India). Dr.Sunita Belgamwar, Director and Mr. Govind Gawade, Quality Control Incharge explained all the departments of the industry to the students. All the processes from raw material storage to the formulation along with quality control and packaging were explained and shown to the students. Dr.Sunita Belgamwar gave a presentation on the infrastructure and facilities provided by the Industry. The visit was very informative. Students were accompanied by staff members Prof. Yogesh Wagh and Prof. Pranali Alkutkar.

Dr.Avinash Tekade, Prof., Department of Pharmaceutics delivered a lectures an resource person  on the topic “Nanoparticulate Drug Delivery System: Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacodynamic Study” on  Feb 11, 2017 in North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon Sponsored One Day National Conference at R.C.Patel Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Shirpur. More than 250 delegates attended the conference. He also judge the posters at poster presentation competition which was organized by the college. He has been felicitated with a momento and certificate.

She has also been appointed as a Peace Ambassador 2016 by Lila Poonawalla Foundation. Represented india as an ambassador. ALL INDIA ESSAY WRITING EVENT - 2016

All India essay writing event 2016 has been organized in our institute by Shri Ram Chandra Mission in collaboration with united nations information centre for India and Bhutan. Topic for the essay competition was “The whole purpose of education is to turn mirrors into windows”. Language option were English, Hindi and Marathi. Kajal Kabra and Kalpana Kamnoore ( T.Y.B.Pharm) participated in the event. Miss Kajal Kabra our T.Y student received second prize at zonal level. She has been  awarded with certificate and medal. Prof. Trupti Deshpande was the faculty coordinator for the event. Our Institute has been awarded with certificate of appreciation for outstanding contribution to make the event successful.

Seminar on Study Abroad

Seminar on Study Abroad along with mock test for IELTS has been organized on 9th. Feb. 2017 in the college. Seminar was delivered by foreign speaker Mr. Greg Friedman, Associate Director of International Admission, Massachutsetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, SIEC Education, Boston, USA. He guided the students regarding procedure for application, admission process, basic requirement to go abroad, living expenses etc. Mock test also has been conducted. Guest Speaker has been introduced by Prof. Pranali Alkutkar, felicitated by Dr. Ashlesha Pandit, Vote of thanks were given by Prof. Vinita Patole. All the students attended the seminar.

Convocation 2016-17

Since last year Savitribai Phule Pune University decided to decentralise handing over degrees. 2nd Convocation Ceremony of undergraduate students was held on 7th Feb 2017 at Rajarshi Shahu college of Pharmacy and Research. Degree has been conferred at a convocation to the students of batch 2015-16.

Shri. Sudhir Bhilare was the chief guest for the programme, Prof. Pranali Alkutkar introduced the guest, Principal Dr. K.R.Khandelwal delivered the speech. All the staff members and students were present for the programme. Vote of thanks were given by Prof. Krishna Lone.

Ms. Vaishali M. Mute, working as an Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology has been awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Pharmacy by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune, for her research work entitled “Study of antidepressant activity of some synthetic compounds  in  laboratory  animals ”. The research work was carried out under the guidance of Prof.  Dr. Subhash L. Bodhankar, Professor & head, department of pharmacology, Poona College of Pharmacy, BVDU, Pune., Maharashtra.

Dr. Mute has more than 11 years of teaching experience in academics as well as in research. She has almost 19 scientific national and international publications to her credit. She is a life member of Association of Pharmacy teachers of India (APTI) and Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council of India. She has been congratulated by our Founder Secretory Prof. T. J. Sawant Sir, Principal Dr. K. R. Khandelwal, all the staff members and the students for her achievement.

Pharm Thesis ofMs. Yogita B. Kumbhar under the guidance ofDr. Ashlesha P. Pandit has been shortlisted (amongst five Best Thesis) for Rajnibhai V. Participation in Road Safety and Guidance Programme

Road Safety and Guidance Programme was organized on 6th Oct. 2106 at the Dange Chowk, Pune. 100 km human chain was formed. Guidance was given on awareness for road safety, how to read road signs, signal rules to be followed to avoid accidents on road. Students participated in the event and contributed to road awareness safety. Principal Dr.K.R.Khandelwal, staff members and the students of Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy and Research participated in the programme.

University of Pune Awarded Two Gold Medals to Ms. Srishti Rawat for standing first in Final Year B.Pharm Exam 2015.

Our Final Year B. Pharm student Ms. Srishti Rawat has been awarded Two Gold Medals by University of  Pune. She has been awarded “ Rupchand Bora Pharmacy Gold Medal” and “ Smt. Kashibai Navale Pharmacy Gold Medal” for standing first among all the successful candidates at the Final Year B. Pharmacy Examination held in April /May 2015. She was consistently university topper for four years. At present she is working with Tata Consultancy Services, Hinjewadi in the Pharmacovigilence Department. She has been congratulated for her achievement by our Founder Secretory Prof. T.J.Sawant Sir, Principal Dr.K.R.Khandelwal, all the staff members and the students.

Gram Swacchata Abhiyaan 2016.

Gram Swacchata Abhiyaan has been organized on 8th Oct. 2016. Cleaning of the streets has been done, residents from pawar wasti, tathawade,  has been distributed with dustbins and brooms for cleaning. All the students had actively participated in the event. Students have been guided by Principal Dr.K.R.Khandelwal. Staff members also accompanied the students and supported the programme.

Research paper of Prof. Vinita Patole has been selected for Zonal Level at Avishkar – 2016 held at Sinhgad College of Pharmacy, Narhe, Pune. Topic for the presentation was “ Formulation and Optimization of Novel Bioerodable Periodontal Insert Device for Intra-Pocket Drug Delivery”. First Prize at IPA Awards & National Pharmacy Week
Prize Distribution Ceremony.

ADD-MAD Competition, an event of National Pharmacy Week 2016-17 was held at Kashibai Navale College of Pharmacy, Kondwa, Pune on 20th Sep.2016.  JSPMs, Rajarshi  Shahu College of Pharmacy and Research, Tathawade received First Prize in the Competition. Prize distribution was done at The Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Pune Branch on 6th Oct 2016.

Students who participated in the event were Akshay, Viraj, Shubham, Dipanjali, Madhuri, Disha, Yamuna, Shweta, Shraddha. Students were guided by Principal Dr.K.R.Khandelwal, Prof. Trupti Deshpande and Prof. Pranali Alkutkar.

Road Safety and Guidance Programme- 2016

Road Safety and Guidance Programme was organized on 30th Sep. 2106 at the Auditorium Hall, Tathawade Campus. Chief guests for the programme were Mr. D.A.Patil and Mr.Bhamre, ACP, Hinjewadi, Pune.

Guidance was given on awareness for road safety, how to read road signs, signal rules to be followed to avoid accidents on road. It was informed that on 6th oct. 2016, road safety awareness programme has been organized. 100km human chain will be prepared for the same, routes for this chain has been told. Students were requested to participate in the event and contribute to road awareness safety. Principal Dr.K.R.Khandelwal, staff members and the students of Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy and Research were present for the programme.

Fresher’s Welcome Party - 2016

The 9th Sep 2016 was marked as a memorable day in the life of every fresher at Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy & Research students. The Fresher’s day was a day that was filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter and happiness. Principal Dr.K.R.Khandelwal in his address to the students, explained the importance of Pharmacy field and role of Pharmacist. Also, he introduced the infrastructure of college and facilities which are provided to the students. The  dress code for the Fresher’s day was ‘Dress your Best’ for Fresher’s. The celebration started with the opening prayer followed by the welcome address by introduction prayer song and the lightening of lamp. The juniors put up various performances like dancing and singing to entertain their seniors, all the juniors were enjoying having a great time, the sponsors had given out various gift and prizes for the winners and participants.  The program concluded with the vote of thanks and finally with the national anthem, all the freshers including the senior’s rocked the show and enjoyed the celebrations. The event was sponsored by JSPMs Trust and ‘II nd year B.Pharm students’, and provided  break fast and lunch.

A National Level Socio-Technical Symposium Innovision 2016 was organized by JSPMs group of Institutes, Tathawade campus on 11th and 12th March 2016 with the theme “ Make in India- Building the dream india ”. LIVE COUNTER – STRIKE & ZEST-O-LLENGE were the games arranged by our college during the Innovision – 2016. Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy and Research celebrated its Annual  Day  –  GOONJ 2006 on 5th Feb.2016  at the auditorium hall of tathawade campus. It was presided by the chief guest Mr. Ravi Sawant Sir. The function started at 9.00 am with saraswati poojan. Principal Dr. K.R.Khandelwal delivered the speech along with the annual achievements of the college.  The prize distribution was done where the students who achieved prizes in various events were honoured with trophy and certificate. The afternoon was made more colourful with cultural programmes. The cultural program began with a ganesh vandana. Every class gave their performances with grace and got a big round of applause. The programme ended at 5.00 pm with a vote of thanks and National Anthem. All the students actively participated and enjoyed the programme. All the staff members were present and enjoyed the programme.

Ph.D Awarded to Prof. Prashant D. Ghode.

Prashant D. Ghode, working as an Assistant Professor, Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department has been awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Pharmacy by North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, for his research work entitled “Stability Indicating HPLC Method Development and Validation for Simultaneous Estimation of Some Drugs in Bulk and Pharmaceutical Dosage Forms”. The research work was carried out under the guidance of Prof.  Dr. Sunil P.Pawar, Principal, P.S.G.V.P Mandals College of Pharmacy, Shahada, Maharashtra. Dr. Ghode has more than 09 years of teaching experience and his industrial experience is 03 years. He has almost 16 scientific publications to his credit. He is a life member of Association of Pharmacy teachers of India (APTI). He has been congratulated by our Founder Secretory Prof. T. J. Sawant Sir, Principal Dr. K. R. Khandelwal, all the staff members and the students for his achievement.

Principal Dr.K.R.Khandelwal attended APTI – RAKMHSU International Convention held at UAE.

Principal Dr.K.R.Khandelwal attended the International Convention of Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India in association with RAK Medical & Health Sciences University, RAK College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. Convention was  held at RAKMHSU Auditorium, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE on 29th Feb 2016. The theme for Convention was “Modern Trends in Pharmacy Education : Team Based Learning & Institutional Research”.

Inauguration was done by Dr.Yasser E.H.Al Nuaimi. Advisor, Ministry of Health, Pro Chancellor, RAK MHSU. Guest of Honor was Dr.M.D.Bhurande, President APTI, India. Inaugural address was given by Dr.S.Gurumadhva Rao, Vice Chancellor, RAKMHSU.

The proceedings of the convention was unfurled into four Sessions. The topics  for  the sessions were : First Session was Essence of Pharmacy Education. Chairpersons were Dr.Amad Al Azzawi and Dr.B.P.Nagori ; Second Session was Team Based Learning. Chairpersons were Dr.Padma G M Rao and Dr.T.V.Narayana ; Third Session was Quality Assurance. Chairpersons were Dr. Padma G M Rao and Dr.R.S.Bhambar ; Fourth session was Open Session ; Chairpersons were Dr.B.G. Nagavi and Dr.Shobha Rani R.Hiremath. In open session interaction was done on critical issues for development of Pharmaceutical Education.

Guest Lecture on Personality Development

Guest Lecture on Personality Development was organized at the seminar hall of our college on 16.2.16. Lecture was delivered by Mr. Rajesh Chavan, President, Jeevan Sanjeevani Manav Sanshodhan Vikas Sanstha. Student of B.Pharm and M.Pharm attended the lecture. Many queries of the students were solved during the session. Overall the session was very interactive and informative. Prof. Swati Kshirsagar introduced the speaker and Prof. Suvarna Vanjari gave vote of thanks. All the staff members were present during the session.

Sports Week Celebration

Sports week is the major and much anticipated annual event of Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy and Research. This year college has organized sports week in the last week of January.

The Chief Guest Mr.Ravi Takke, Physical Director, J.S.P.M, Tathawade Campus. in his address emphasized about importance of student participation in sports, appreciated the students for punctuality and their interest in sports activities. Inaugural function ended after the vote of thanks by the sports co-ordinator Prof. Rajendra B.Patil. Principal Dr.K.R.Khandelwal. Faculty members Dr.Avinash Tekade, Dr.Ashlesha Pandit, Dr.Prashant Ghode, Prof. Krishna Lone and Prof. Yogesh Wagh were present on the ground. Thereafter, events of the day started and all the students actively participated in various events with full sportsman spirit.

There were about 12 tournaments of outdoor and indoor games including table tennis, badminton, cricket , kho- kho, kabbadi, voley ball, athletics, chess, carom. At the end of all tournaments winner and runner up were declared. All the students enthusiastically participated and enjoyed the sports week. The sports were conducted on spacious ground of J.S.P.M, Tathawade Campus. Special efforts were taken by Prof. Rajendra B.Patil, Sports Co-ordinator to make the event successful.

The program ended with the vote of thanks given by Prof. Rajendra B.Patil, Sports Co-ordinator.

Two days workshop on Interview Skill Development

Two days workshop on Interview Skill Development was organized at Seminar Hall of Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy & Research on 15/02/16 & 16/02/16. Seminar was delivered by Mr. Prasad Deshmukh, Vice – President, Talent HR Network Pvt. Ltd, Mumbai.

Speaker explained scope of pharmacy profession, how interviews are conducted, what are expected questions, how to face interviews etc. B.Pharm and M.Pharm students attended the programme. Group discussion was done and students cleared their doubts during the session. Overall, the programme was very interactive and informative.

Programme was arranged by Prof. Anil Tankar, T & P Incharge. Special efforts were taken by Prof. Namrata Dharmadhikari and Prof. Yogesh Wagh to make it an successful event. Prof. Swati Kshirsagar gave vote of thanks. All the staff members were present during the programme.

“Entrepreneurship Development in Pharmaceutical Field”

A One Day State level Seminar on “Entrepreneurship Development in Pharmaceutical Field” was held at Seminar Hall of Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy and Research on 13th Feb. 2016.  The event was sponsored by Savitribai Phule Pune University.

The proceedings of the seminar can be unfurled into three parts. The first part included the inaugural session, part two of the seminar consisted of presentations and the final part included a valedictory session which marked the end of the academic event.

The inaugural session of the seminar began at 9:30 am with the lighting of lamp by the dignitaries that included Mr. Viresh Nyati, Director, Nyati Healthcare, Pune; Mr. Rahul Chordiya, Director, Bioscience Pvt. Ltd; Mrs. Archana Gawade, Director, Elite Institute of Pharma Skills, Pune; Convener Principal Dr.K.R.Khandelwal, Programme Co-ordinator Dr.Avinash Tekade; Associate Co-ordinators Dr. Atul Sayare and Dr. Ashlesha Pandit.

Following the lighting of lamp, a welcome speech was delivered by Dr.Avinash Tekade, Prof, Pharmaceutics Dept, a brief insight on the theme of the seminar by Rucha Thanekar and key note addresses by Sheetal Shinde and Pallavi Argade. The inaugural session concluded with the delivery of vote of thanks by Shreyas Joshi.

Three sessions of presentations were successfully held under the theme titled “Entrepreneurship Development in Pharmaceutical Field”. Two presentations were held in the first Session. The first presenter,  Mr. Viresh Nyati, Director, Nyati Healthcare, Pune; spoke on how to become a successful entrepreneur and motivated the students for the same and Mr. Rahul Chordiya, Director, Bioscience Pvt. Ltd shared his experiences and explained how to tackle the problems in the initial phase. The first session of presentations were followed by a lunch break and the second session proceeded at 2.00 pm. Speaker Mrs. Archana Gawade, Director, Elite Institute of Pharma Skills, Pune explained the documents requirement for entrepreneurship.

The seminar concluded with the valedictory programme. The individuals who shared their experiences, on behalf of the groups that they represent, felt that the event was fruitful and highly enriching.  Adding on to that, the day long event indeed provided a platform for thought provoking discussions that was initiated and laid down by persons of  high intellectual caliber, through their presentations on diverse areas of “Entrepreneurship Development in Pharmaceutical Field”.

First Prize at “Anant -Pharma” Research Conference and Poster Presentation Competition 2016

JSPMs, Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy and Research, Tathawade, Pune received First Prize at “Anant – Pharma” Research Conference and Poster Presentation Competition 2016 organized by Rajgad Dnyanpeeth’s College of Pharmacy, Bhor  on 26th and 27th Jan.2016. The topic of Research Paper was “                                                                                                                                              Formulation Development of Novel Herbal Formulation for Hair Growth &Method Involved in Processing Them”. The Prize amount was 7,011/- along with the certificate. The M.Pharm student participants were Pranesh Tambe, Ajit Unde, Anup Jamodkar and Ravikiran Bandgar. The students were guided by Principal Dr.K.R.Khandelwal and Dr.Avinash Tekade, Professor, Pharmaceutics Dept. They have been congratulated by our founder secretory Prof. T.J.Sawant Sir, Ravi Sawant Sir, Bhilare Sir, all the staff members and the students for their achievement.

Extra Curricular Events - 2016

Various Extra Curricular Events were organized for the students of B.Pharm & M.Pharm at JSPMs, Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy and Research, Tathawade, Pune on 27th Jan 2016.

The events organized were “Sparkles” A Rangoli competition based on theme “Role of Pharmacist in society”, “Aaswad” A food competition,  “Best out of Waste” competition where the students presented creative ideas and models as well. “Mehandi” Competition was organized for Mehandi lovers and not only girls but also boys participated actively. All the students of B.Pharm and M.Pharm actively participated in all the events. Prof. Trupti Deshpande had organized the events and had taken efforts to make it an successful event. Principal Dr.K.R.Khandelwal and all the staff members evaluated the events and congratulated all the winners.

Pulse Polio Camp organized in Collaboration with Dehu Road Cantonment Hospital, Dehu Road

JSPMs, Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy and Research, Tathawade, Pune participated in Pulse Polio Camp. Camp was organized in Collaboration with Dehu Road Cantonment Hospital, Dehu Road, Pune  on 17th and 18th Jan. 2016. Students of First Year and Third Year B.Pharm actively participated in the event. Staff Members attended Two weeks AICTE Sponsored Quality Improvement Programme.

Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Poona College of Pharmacy, Erandwane, Pune had organized AICTE Sponsored Staff Development Program on “ Recent Trends in Formulation Development : Time for a Paradigm Shift in Pharmaceutics and “ Modern Concepts in Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry for Better Teaching and Skill Upgradation” in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from 14th Dec. to 26th Dec.2015. Our staff members from Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry department attended the QIP Programme and found to be very useful in upgradation of the knowledge.

Research Work of Dr. Ashlesha Pandit Shortlisted for Best Thesis Award.

Research Work of Saurabh Patel (M. Pharm) student of Dr. Ashlesha Pandit, Associate. Professor, Pharmaceutics Dept, has been shortlisted for the second round of Rajanibhai Patel Best Thesis Award. The title of thesis was “ Formulation of Microsponge Loaded Topical Drug Delivery for the Treatment of Diabetic Wound”. It is the Great Achievement as Only Two Colleges has been Shortlisted from Maharashtra State and Only Five Research Works from All Over India has been Shotlisted. Dr. Ashlesha Pandit and Principal Dr.K.R.Khandelwal has been congratulated by our Founder Secretory Prof. T.J.Sawant Sir for this Great Achievement and their Valuable Guidance.

Parents Meet

Parents Meet was organized on 7th. Nov. 2015 in the Seminar Hall of our College. Parents of First and Second Year were invited for the meet. Principal Dr.K.R.Khandelwal and all the staff members were present for the meet. Students were also present for the meet along with their parents.  Parents were provided the information about the progress of their ward. Answer Papers were shown to the Parents.  Power Point Presentation was given to the parents about the University Exam Pattern, Internal Exam Pattern, Credit System, Semester Pattern, College Infrastructure and Facilities provided to the students, Staff Information etc  by Mrs. Trupti Deshpande. Guest Lecture on Job Opportunities in Pharma Industries

Guest Lecture was organized in the college on 28th.10. 2015. The topic of the lecture was Job Opportunities in Pharma Industries.  Mr.Prasad  Deshmukh, Director, Talent HR Ltd. delivered the lecture. He explained the areas in the Pharmaceutical Industries were there is need for B.Pharm and M.Pharm students. Also, he suggested the areas in all over India were there are reputed Pharmaceutical Industries, these companies  can be a  good opportunities for the students  to start with. Many queries of the students related to jobs in Pharma Industries were solved. The lecture was very interesting and informative to the students. All the staff members along with the students were present for the lecture. Prof. Anil Tankar, introduced the speakers and Prof. Nilima Chaudhari gave vote of thanks. The overall session was very good and interactive.

Industrial Visit to Maharashtra Ayurved Centre Pvt. Ltd., Pune

Industrial Visit was organized for Final Year B.Pharm and M.Pharm students to Maharashtra Ayurved Centre Pvt. Ltd., Pune, on 31.08.2015. It is an Industry Centre by Dept. of AYUSH (Govt. of India). Dr.Sunita Belgamwar, Director and Mr. Govind Gawade, Quality Control Incharge explained all the departments of the industry to the students. All the processes from raw material storage to the formulation along with quality control and packaging were explained and shown to the students. Dr.Sunita Belgamwar gave a presentation on the infrastructure and facilities provided by the Industry. The visit was very informative. Students were accompanied by staff members Prof. Nilima Chaudhari, Prof. Trupti Deshpande, Prof. Namrata Vedpathak and Prof. Yogesh Wagh.

Industrial Visit

Industrial Visit of Third and Final Year students was arranged at  PRADO – Preclinical Research and Development Organization, Pune on 23rd. Oct. 2014. Prof. Anil Tankar, Prof. Trupti Deshpande and Prof. Yogesh Wagh accompanied the students for the visit. The staff members of Prado explained how the studies are conducted on animals. Prof. Pralhad Wangikar, Director, Prado, answered the queries of the students. Visit was very informative to the students and staff members.

Runner Up in Poster Competition at Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital, Pune.

Final Year students Mr. Sujit Sanap ,  Arunkumar Teotia  and Neha Bankar were runner up in National level Poster Competition conducted by Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital on 17th. Oct. 2015. The topic of the Poster Presentation was  “Growing Menace of Antibiotic Resistance, consequences and prevention”. The students has been guided by Dr. Avinash Tekade and Prof. Yogesh Wagh . The students has been congratulated by our founder secretory Prof. T.J.Sawant Sir, Principal Dr.K.R.Khandelwal, all the staff members and the students.

Participation of students at Celebration of World Arthritis Day

organized by Sancheti Hospital, Pune.

World Arthritis Day has been celebrated at Modern College Ground, Shivaji Nagar, Pune. The

programme has been organized and sponsored by Sancheti Hospital, Pune. The rally was

organized from sancheti Hospital to Modern College Ground. More than 50 students of our

college has been participated in the rally. Theme for the rally was “ Walkathon” – Fight

Arthritis. Mr.Sudhir Bhilare Sir, Mr. Ravi Sawant Sir and Prof. Prashant Hambar Sir has

attended the programme.

Workshop on Demonstration of Origin Lab Statistical Software.

A One Day Workshop on Demonstration of Origin Lab Statistical Software was organized in the college for Faculty Members and Post Graduate Students on October 19, 2015. The demonstration was given by Mr. Subhash Prathy, Mr. Gaurav Sharma and Mr. Kunal of Dysmech Consultancy Services, Pune. They explained all the details of the software along with its applications. Dr. Avinash Tekade, Professor, Pharmaceutics Dept. introduced the speakers and Prof. Nilima Chaudhari, Asst.Prof, Pharmaceutics Dept. gave vote of thanks. All the staff members and students were present for the workshop. The students and faculty members found this workshop very useful.

Poster Presentation Competition was organized in our college on 16th. Oct.2015 as a part of 54th  National Pharmacy Week -2015. Competition was  jointly organized by Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Pune Branch & JSPMs Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy & Research, Tathawade,  Pune.  National  Pharmacy Week is a Joint Celebration by all Pharmacy Colleges in Pune University / Region which has been conducted during 12th Oct. to 17th Oct. 2015. Theme for the poster presentation was Responsible Use of Antibiotics, Saves Lives.

Inauguration was done by the hands of Mr. Ravi Sawant Sir. Mr. Sudhir Bhilare Sir, Principal Dr. K. R. Khandelwal, Prof. Prashant Hambar, Dr.Sagar Wankhede, Prof. Pramod Ingale, all the staff members and the students were present during the Inauguration.

Students from all the D.Pharm, B.Pharm and M.Pharm colleges under Pune University has actively participated in the event. Total 35 posters were presented by various colleges. The posters were evaluated by the Judges Dr. Sagar Wankhede from Dr.D.Y.Patil Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pimpri, Pune and Prof. Pramod Ingale, Marathwada Mitra Mandals College of Pharmacy, Pune. The Programme was co-ordinated by Prof. Rajendra B.Patil, Asst. Prof. JSPMs, Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy and Research, Tathawade.

Theme for the poster presentation was Responsible Use of Antibiotics, Saves Lives.  Students from all the D.Pharm, B.Pharm and M.Pharm colleges under Pune University has actively participated in the event. Total 38 posters were presented by various colleges.

A Guest Lecture on Career Opportunities in Clinical Research

A Guest lecture was organized on Career Opportunities in Clinical Research on 10th.Oct.2015 in Seminar Hall of our college. The speakers were Mr. Saumyajit Paul and Dr. Patil  from Mitcon Institute,  Pune. They have explained Career Opportunities in Clinical Research for Pharmacy Students. Also, the details of Pharmacovigilence was dicussed. What are the requirement and expectations of Pharmaceutical Industries and IT Industries from Pharmacy students regarding Clinical Research, was expained to the students. The details of Clinical Research  Course along with the syllabus was also the part of explanation.  Many queries of the students regarding clinical research were solved. Overall the session was very interactive and informative to the students. Ms. Pranali Alkutkar, Asst. Prof. Pharmaceutical Chemistry Dept.  introduced the speakers while Mrs. Vrushali Kakkad, Asst. Prof. Pharmacology Dept. gave vote of thanks. All the staff members along with the students of B.Pharm and M.Pharm were present for the seminar.

Runner Up in Quiz Competition – A National Pharmacy Week Activity

Mr. Arvind Purohit and Kirtiwardhan Patil from Final Year B.Pharm were the Runner Up in the  Quiz Competition held at Allana College of Pharmacy, Camp on 13th. Oct. 2015. Quiz competition  was  held as one of the event under National Pharmacy Week – 2015. Total twenty colleges had participated in the competition. Guest Lecture on the Topic - Study Abroad

A Guest Lecture was organized on the topic Study Abroad on 30th.Sep.2015 in seminar hall of the college. The speakers were Mr. Dayanand M, Marketting Manager and Gaurav Rangan, Executive Marketing, from Chopra Consultancy, Pune. They have explained the details of how to go abroad for further studies. The procedure, the exams to be given by the students for admission in foreign universities, documents required, the list of foreign universities, scholarships received from the foreign universities, fees etc was explained to the students. All the queries of the students were solved. The students of Third and Final Year attended the seminar. The seminar was very informative. World Pharmacist Day Celebration

World Pharmacist Day has been celebrated in Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy and Research on 25th Sep. 2015. On this occasion guest lectures were arranged in the college for the students. Principal Dr.K.R.Khandelwal, all the staff members and the students were present for the programme. Mr. Vinayak Pankhade, Asst.Manager, Future Generalli Health, Pune delivered a lecture on Corporate Training on Leadership Development. Mr.Vinayak Shinde, Director, Shree Enterprises, Pune Delivered a lecture on Communication and Interview Skill. All the students actively participated in the interactive session and discussed their doubts related to the topics.Prof. Pranali Alkutkar introduced the speakers and Vote of thanks were given by Prof. Trupti Deshpande. It was an good interactive session for the students.

Intercollegiate Boxing Competition

Ms.Dipti N.Limbhore, T.Y.B.Pharm student participated in Intercollegiate Boxing Competition organized at MIT College, Lonikalbhor, on 15th Sep. 2015. The competition was organized by Pune District Sports Zone, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. Fresher’s Welcome Party 2015

The 26th of August was marked as a memorable day in the life of every fresher at Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy & Research students. The Fresher’s day was a day that was filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter and happiness. The chief guest for the day was Shri. Ravi Sawant Sir. Principal Dr.K.R.Khandelwal in his address to the students, explained the importance of Pharmacy field and role of Pharmacist. Also, he introduced the infrastructure of college and facilities which are provided to the students.
The dress code for the Fresher’s day was ‘Dress your Best’ for Fresher’s. The celebration started of sharp at 9.00 am with the opening prayer followed by the welcome address by Principal Dr.K.R.Khandelwal. The Freshers were formally welcomed into the RSCOP&R family, the chief guest and the other guests of the day were introduced. The program kick-started with the introduction prayer song and the lightening of lamp. All the participants were well dressed, conforming to the dress code and they ready to perform.
Shreyash Joshi, II nd year M.Pharm student presented his talent on tabala and Sagar Kumbhar Third Year B.Pharm student presented his talent – A Sand Art.
The participants had to perform the game and judged by the staff members. All the participants were eagerly waiting to know the results, the judgment was based on the performing style and speed of the participant. The results were finally declared at the end of the game by judges.
The juniors put up various performances like dancing and singing to entertain their seniors, all the juniors were enjoying having a great time, the sponsors had given out various gift and prizes for the winners and participants. Mr. Fresher was Ninad Sutar and Ms. Fresher was Anuradha Kakade.
The program concluded with the vote of thanks and finally with the national anthem, all the freshers including the senior’s rocked the show and enjoyed the celebrations and all thanked the HOD, staff and seniors students for hosting such a nice program that they could cherish lifelong. The event was sponsored by JSPMs and ‘II nd year B.Pharm students’, and provided break fast and lunch.
