Mechanical Engineering is the key in wealth creation by converting raw material into finished goods. The value of the material increases when it undergoes several processes, operations and treatments. Department of Mechanical Engineering is committed to serve this noble cause for better living of our people, by providing them with highly competent Engineers to lead in Automobile sector, Energy conservation, Agricultural implements, Robotics, Computer aided design and manufacturing, industrial automation etc. Department has highly qualified staff and state of the art machinery

The Mechanical Engineering Department established in year 2006 with 60 intake and currently having capacity of 300 intake. The Mechanical Engineering Dept. is one of the largest in terms of faculty, students, and activities, continues to lead and expand its activities in various directions. Experimental and computational facilities are being continuously upgraded. Industry interaction has been increased with several programs being offered to industry participants, and many students working in industry-sponsored projects.

The Department has well qualified teaching and non – teaching staff and sufficient number of class rooms and well equipped laboratories.

 Departmental Goals:

  1. To impart quality engineering education through:
  •  Sound theoretical knowledge,
  •  Hands-on laboratory skills,
  •  Adequate computational skills
  •  Appropriate industrial exposure.
  1. To enhance the overall academic performance of students.
  2. To aim at placement of maximum number of students.
