Yashraj Mane Strikes Gold

The student of Jayawant Public School won a gold medal in Kung Fu WushuNational Championship 2017 was organized by Kung Fu Wushu Federation of India held on 20th -22nd Aug 17 Amritsar Punjab. The president of the schoolProf.T.J. Sawant, Campus Director Mr. Bugade Sir and the Principal Mrs. Moushumi Choudhury congratulated him for his success.

Students Shine At Singing Competiton

Jayawant Public school bagged the first prize in the Patriotic Group  Song Competition organized by YMCA Pune. And got the third prize in ‘Chandra Surya Singing Competition ‘.Around 29 schools participated in the competition.The competition was judged by very talented personalities Pallavi Joglekar (Visharad), Vijay Murthy (Guitarist) and Pradip Gaikwad.
Our students showed their mastery over Voice modulation, Sur, rhythm and other important aspects of singing. The winners were well appreciated by the judges. The song was practiced under the guidance of Mrs. Pallavi Joshi and Mr. Mahesh Iyer. The principal Mrs. Moushumi Chowdhury appreciated and congratulated the winners as well as the teachers.

Sharad Malhar district level school dance competition

Aims:

  • To provide a context for aesthetic and artistic experience and the opportunity to develop personally and physically through participation in dance in an enjoyable environment.

Objectives:

  1. To develop skillful, creative mastery of the body in a dance context.

  2. To enhance knowledge and understanding of dance as an aesthetic and artistic experience.

  3. To enrich personal and social development while interacting with others in a variety of structured contexts.

Description:

Sharad Malhar Pratishthan organizer “ Sharad Malhar Inter School Dance Competition” every year. This competition is organized in 13 Talukas of Pune District for District level. Those are selected from preliminary round. Sharad Malhar has played a key role in extracting hidden talent in students across Pune District.

Dance competition was arranged on district level on an account of birthday of Shri. Sharadchandraji Pawar Saheb. Junior group of 75 students of the school were participated in this competition. This competition was held on 9th January 2016 in Pune at Ganesh Kendea Kendra at Swarget, Pune. Group of students performed with very enthusiastically. The theme was ‘Banu’ who was the wife of God Malhar.

Group of students won 2nd prize in this competition and certificate. Group of JPS students got entry in the next level that is the Extra Ordinary Level.

Achievement: School got 2nd prize in the competition.

To provide a secure learning environment for all students, within which respect, persistence and individual learning styles are valued and where confidence and the development of skills are nurtured and encourage open-mindedness and respect for all music, and therefore cultures; to promote awareness of the context of music in societies.

Objectives:

1) To enable students to develop as vocal and instrumental musicians, taking into consideration different learning styles.

2) To efficiently administrate the instrumental tuition scheme and encourage students to participate in it.

3) To emphasise the collaborative nature of music making and the social skills derived from it.

4) To encourage and enable all students to learn a musical instrument.

5) To encourage students to participate in activities that provide opportunities to extend and develop their skills.

6) To seek opportunities for cross-curricular work with other departments.

ROLLER SKATING COMPETITION

Aims:

To generate awareness about physical fitness and inculcate the trend of outdoor activities and develop sports skills among the youth, who otherwise get easily hooked on to television viewing and computer games.

Objectives:

  • To create a harmonious group of like-minded people 
    • Skaters, their parents, and patrons of these sports 

    • Which , in turn would spread awareness about the sports in general.

Description:

The first roller skates, created by an unknown inventor, were used in a London stage show in 1743.

Jean-Joseph Merlin, of France, is the first known inventor of a primitive inline skate with metal wheels in 1760.

The first roller skate design to be patented was made by a Frenchman M. Petit bled, in 1819. These early skates were similar to today’s inline skates, but they were not very maneuverable; it was very difficult with these skates to do anything but move in a straight

The design of the quad skate allowed easier turns and maneuverability, and the quad skate came to dominate the industry for more than a century.

The design of the quad skate has remained essentially unchanged since then, and in fact remained as the dominant roller skate design until nearly the end of the 20th century.

One of our student made sure that Roller Skating continues to have its fair share of fans as he brought glory to barnes by taking up the 2nd position in the 14th inter school Roller Skating competition at Balewadi, Pune on 18th October 2015

Principal Ms. Unnati Joshi, Referees, Coaches, Managers and parents were present on this occasion to cheer up the skaters.

Cygnofest singing and street play competition

Aims:

To provide a secure learning environment for all students, within which respect, persistence and individual learning styles are valued and where confidence and the development of skills are nurtured and encourage open-mindedness and respect for all music, and therefore cultures; to promote awareness of the context of music in societies.

Objectives:

1) To develop musical literacy as a fundamental aspect of learning music and singing.

2) To enable students to develop as vocal and instrumental musicians, taking into consideration different learning styles.

3) To provide the tools needed for creative work and to provide opportunities for students to develop their creativity.

4) To provide widely differentiated material, including that specific for individual students, in order for all students to work at a level within which they feel comfortable and from which they can develop at an appropriate pace.

5) To promote respect for others by applying accepted performance practices and addressing the role of the audience.

6) To use a variety of material in terms of style; to value no one style over another, and to work towards musical excellence regardless of style.

7) To focus on group music making; to address the role of the individual performer within an ensemble; to promote the skills required for ensemble work, for example collaboration, patience, persistence, an awareness of others.

8) To efficiently administrate the instrumental tuition scheme and encourage students to participate in it.

Music binds soul hearts and emotions. It is a known fact that music is the best method of relaxation. Considering all these things. Our school had participated in ‘Cygnofest Singing and Street Play Competition’ was organized in Cygnet Public School , Hadapsar, on 15 October 2015

The Marathi song was Zunzu munzu pahat zali.songs selected for this competition comprised of motivational themes. JPS students got 1st prize in the competition.

Achievement:

School won 1st prize in the group singing competition.

And 2nd prize in Street Play competition.

Music which has now become the Soul of Jayawant Public School, in its harmony, is bringing out the many characteristics of the musical ethics which is absolutely evident.

School has once again raised the bar high by putting up an outstanding ‘Bharat Vikas Parishad Group Singing Competition’, Pune Districts level Singing competition held on 15 September 2015 . School got 1st prize in the competition. The Music department has significantly evolved; thus shaping itself to create interests and activity amongst the students. It has produced fine choirs.

Chandra surya rangbhumi Group singing competition

Aims:

Description:

In order to encourage talent and participate in competitions, students of JPS participated in Chandra Surya Rangbhumi Singing Competition. It was held on 8th August 2015.

The students received second prize impressing the judges in the competition. They sang the song ‘Amacha Desh Mahan song.’

The judges appreciated the performance and the selection of the song. The audience were simply thrilled. School got 2st prize in the competition.

Interschool Group singing competition which was organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad. Nearly 25 schools from Pune district had participated in the competition. The students of the schools participated with full enthusiam. The students were full of zeal and gave their melodious presentation. Our school got 1st position in this competition. Our music teacher guided our students with great enthusiastically.

Chandra Surya Rangabhoomi District Level

Interschool Group singing competition which was organized by Chandra Surya Rangabhoomi. Nearly 150 students from different schools of in and around Pune had participated in the competition. The students of the schools participated with the spirit of patriotism really came true. The students were full of zeal and gave their melodious presentation. Our school got 3rd position in this competition. Our music teacher guided our students with great enthusiastically.
