YES+ program of Art of Living is conducted in our Institute in July. In this program student of our institute has undergone Training for YOGA and PRANAYAM. They have undergone various Breathing Techniques, Sudarshan Kriya, Yogasans which help them to increase their concentration & relieve stress. They have learnt to initiate activities and convert negative thoughts into positive thoughts. They become enthusiastic, confident and energetic. They can be able to control their anger and anxiety. All these things students has experienced during the training & given feedback in their presentations. The training was conducted by experienced faculty of Art of Living, Mr. Ashish Shah, B.Tech., IIT, Bombay, M.S., MIT, USA. He was supported by demonstrator, Ms. Shraddha Patil & Mr. Dattu Pawar from Cummins India, Balewadi, Pune. The session was lasted for one week in July
BARCLAYS GLOBAL YOUTH EMPLOYABILITY INITIATIVE
Barclays Global Youth Employability Initiative program was conducted to learn industry linked technical skills like Soft skill, Presentation, Initiative, Technical skill and Projects and its evaluation. The Art of Living, Center for skill Development for Employability & Entrepreneurship by Shri Shri Rural Develop Program Trust has conducted training for students in August. Mr. Sumit Shikhare, B.E. has conducted skill Development Program for over one week in August.

Free Medical Check-up & Free Medicines Distribution Camp for Warkaries
J.S.P.M.’s Jayawant Institute of Pharmacy, Tathawade in association with Dehu road Cantonment Board Hospital, Ministry of Defence, Govternment of India has organized “Free Medical Check-up & Free Medicines Distribution Camp for Warkaries” on Tuesday, 28th June, 2016 from 8.00am to 6.00pm.
Forty students were participated in this camp along with Faculty and Principal. Doctors from Dehu road Cantonment Board and Rotary Club, Dehu road has joined hands with J.S.P.M.’s Jayawant Institute of Pharmacy to make the camp successful.
Our students and staff have distributed free medicines to the devotees prescribed by the doctors. Our students have learnt to check blood pressure and counsel the patients for compliances of treatments and prescribed medicines. They served the people by applying counter irritants and muscle relaxants for the age old devotees walking from Dehu towards Pandharpur, a 150km stretch. It was an immense pleasure to serve the devotees and get their blessing. The students have got hands on experience for patient counseling and dispensing of medicines. They have also got demonstration of blood pressure measurement, dressings of wounds and vaccinations.
There were around 8000-10000 of warkaries get benefited from the camp. Ambulance and Trauma care support will also extended at the camp side.
RMO of Dehu road Cantonment Board Hospital, Dr. Waghchoure, Col. Velapure and their staff has actively participated and guided the students. Mr. Abhijeet Sanap, CEO Dehu Road Cantonment Board visited our camp along with his spouse and appreciated the work done by students. Press Reporters and Media has also visited and interviewed Principal, Prashant Hambar and Staff Ms. Devika Tilekar, Mrs. Archana More, Ms. Aparna Adake and students Tanmay Nikam, Harshada Vanave and all other students and appreciated the unique service provided to the Warkaries.
Tree Plantation Drive
J.S.P.M.’s Jayawant Institute of Pharmacy in association with Rotary Club of Dehu Road and Forest Department, Government of Maharashtra under the appeal of chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadanvis to plant more than 2 Cr. of trees on 1st July, 2016. We have been allotted village ‘Chimbli’ near Chakan, Alandi Road for plantation of more than 2 lakhs saplings of local variety wild plants. 35 students and staff has participated in Tree Plantation Drive from 8.30am to 3.30pm. The site was on the top of the hills near village Chimbli. The day was rainy and all students, staff and principal has planted sapplings.
We have ensured that the trees are planted properly so that their survival rate will be maintained. These trees will be maintained, watered and protected by Team of Forest Department Officials and Contractual workers/ Daily Wedgers. We have ensured that the trees planted will survive and are in safe hand. We can visit any time in future to ensure that the trees are survived.
It was beautiful scenery place and we had catched these memories in the camera. Even the aerial Photographs and Video shooting was done with the help of Drone. Our college is working for protecting the environment and making awareness amongst students to plant more trees and protect our environment. Opportunities in Entrepreneurship
Mr. Sagar Paygudhe, B.Pharm, MBA from New Zealand has delivered lecture on topic “Opportunities in Entrepreneurship” on Wednesday, 20th January, 2016. He has floated Business development ideas for pharmacy through Unity Medicare.
This will give opportunities for students to start their own Pharmacy, with value added service to the patients and doctors.

Alumni of our institute Mr. Arjun Gore, has delivered lecture entitled “Business Development” on Wednesday, 20th January, 2016.There was good response from students. Students are encouraged and motivated to become Entrepreneur by him. As alumni Mr. Arjun Gore has provided great role model for students.

Bhilare, Directors of JSPM, Tathawade were present on the occasion to support the cause. Dr. K.H. Sancheti, Director & founder has welcomed the guest. Mr. Pravin Tarade & Ms. Girija Oak & Dr. Sancheti has spread the awareness about prevention of Arthritis. Principal P. P. Hambar has said that, “Five thousand steps daily will prevent Arthritis & it is endorsed by Dr. Parag Sancheti, Chairman Sancheti Hospital. NPW WhatsApp Best Quote Competition
NPW WhatsApp Best Quote Competition was organized by J.S.P.M.’s Jayawant Institute of Pharmacy in association with Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Pune branch on Friday, 16th October 2015. It was first of its kind innovative competition organized anywhere.
Prin. P.P.Hambar said that “Today’s youth are technosavy, smart & very active on social media. To utilize social media in a good way & apply it in their curriculum, we have organized WhatsApp Best Quote Competition”.
The competition is based on theme “Responsible use of Antibiotics, save lives”.
Students has prepared WhatsApp message in Image, Audio & Video format. The message was given in this WhatsApp to the patient & general public to minimize Adverse Drug Reaction & patient Compliance and to make aware about myths of Antibiotics.
Fresher Induction program
The Fresher’s Induction Program was organized at Jayawant Institute of Pharmacy on Friday, 28th August, 2015.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. S.S. Bhamare, Joint secretary, Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education. He has motivated students to compete in State level MSBTE organized various competition like,Project competition, Quiz competition and Technical Paper presentation competition. The dignitaries, Shri. Ravi Sawant , Director Estate, JSPM, Tathawade campus, Dr. K.R. Khandelwal, Principal, RSCOP&R, Dr. Binodkumar, Director, JTC, & Dr. Bhadane, Principal RSCOEd. has grace the occasion.
The second year students of Jayawant Institute of Pharmacy welcomed the First year students. The program was organized for the better interaction amongst the students & to prevent grievances.
The cultural programs was performed by First and Second year students. The event was coordinated by Prof. S.D. Waghmare.
Aarogya Exhibition, a part of curriculum of Diploma Coarse in Pharmacy like Health Education and Community Pharmacy & Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy was completed by organizing exhibition to make aware about prevention & the treatment of various diseases commonly occur in the country.
The exhibition was organized on Thursday, 20th August, 2015 by Jayawant Institute of Pharmacy in association with Pimpri Chinchwad Muncipal Corporation.
Dr. Mrs. S.S. Bhoir, Resident Medical Officer conducted awareness & provided resource material for this camp.
Dr. Patil, District Health Officer, Pune District, Leprosy and Tuberculosis, visited and appreciated this camp.
There were more than 3000 posters, displayed in the exhibition. The posters and charts for this exhibition were provided by Pimpri Chinchwad Muncipal Corporation. There were more than 1000 visitors who have visited this camp. The event was coordinated by Prof. D.K. Tilekar.
Blood Donation Camp
Blood donation camp was jointly organized by Jayawant Institute of Pharmacy and Rajarshi Shahu college of Engineering, Tathawade, at A-1 building, on Thursday, 20th August, 2015.
The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Dr. D.S. Bormane, Principal, Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering. Prof. S.L. Bhilare, Asst. Executive Director & other dignitaries were present on this occasion.
There was enormous response of more than 230 students & staff who has donated blood in this camp. The event was coordinated by Mr. Banubakode, HOD, IT, Prof. Anup Nair, Prof. R.M. Shelake, JIP.
ECG camp, the unique project of Jayawant Institute of Pharmacy since last 3 years. This year it was organized on Thursday, 20th August, 2015 and there were whooping 120 ECG were recorded in a single day.
Dr. B.R. Mardikar, an eminent Pharmacologist and Dr. Hirakani Pathak have conducted the camp since 9.00am to 7.00pm. The event was coordinated by Prof. D.K. Tilekar.
Eye Checkup Camp
Eye checkup camp was organized jointly by Jayawant Institute of Pharmacy and RSCOE, Tathawade for the students and staff of JSPM on Thursday, 20th August, 2015
There were more than 850 persons has taken benefit of this camp and majority of drivers of JSPM college and school buses has participated in eye checkup camp. This event was coordinated by Prof. P.S. Devang.
Free Medical Checkup camp
Medical checkup camp was organized on Thursday, 20th August, 2015, jointly by Jayawant Institute of Pharmacy and Rajarshi Shahu college of Engineering, Tathawade. The camp was inaugurated by Prof. P.P. Hambar, Principal, Jayawant Institute of Pharmacy.
There were more than 30 doctors of different specialties like General Physician, ENT, Gynecologist, Cardiac; Medicines etc. were involved in medical checkup.
The doctor from National Integrated Medical Association, Pimpri Chinchwad Muncipal Corporation, Indian Red Cross Society and EAST has provided their expert services for this camp. There were more than 840 students and staff has taken benefit of free medical checkup and appreciated the same.

T.T. Vaccination Camp
Now-a-days, there is neglect of Tetanus Vaccination is observed. Therefore we have organized Free Tetanus Toxoid Vaccination Camp in association with Pimpri Chinchwad Muncipal Corporation, Department of Health and Family Welfare, on Thursday, 20th August, 2015.
Dr. Mrs. S.S. Bhoir and her team of doctors and nurses from Walhekarwadi and Punawale Hospital of Pimpri Chinchwad Muncipal Corporation have extended their service to make this camp successful. The event was coordinated by Prof. S.C. Gavali.
First aid & Free Distribution of Medicines & Treatment for Warkari
Jayawant Shikshan Prasarak Mandal with its group of Diploma Pharmacy institute Jayawant Institute of Pharmacy & Jayawantrao Sawant Institute of Pharmacy has organized “First aid & Free Distribution of Medicines & Treatment for Warkari” on Sunday, 12th July, 2015 at Jondhalenagar, Sasawad road, Hadapsar.
It was great experience for students who have distributed and applied medicines under the supervision of Registered Pharmacist & Medical Practitioner. On the occasion Prin. P.P.Hambar, Prof. Mr. R.M. Shelake, Prin. A.D.Kale, Mr. Mogal along with students of Jayawant Institute of Pharmacy has carried out the activity. Prof. M.D. Takale, Prof. K.N. Barbole, Prof. V.A. Bugade, Directors of JSPM has visited the camp.
There were more than 500 Warkaries has been benefited from this camp.

JSPM’s Jayawant Institute of Pharmacy, Tathawade, has always been engaged with various social activities. Recently on 20th and 21st December 2014, students of FY, SY accompanying with teachers has involved in ‘Jalmaitry Abhiyan of Pavana River’.
Journy of this Jaldindi begins from starting point i.e. Ugam of Pavana River and including various destinations like Shivane, Thugoan, Shirgoan and lastly it ends at Moraya HGosavi Mandir, Chinchwad. This Jaldindi has organized by — Awartan group.
Modern cities discharging their wastes with higher rate and quantities which finally pollute streams of river. This is reducing our finite freshwater resources. The deficiency of clean and fresh water affecting poor communities. The main motive of this Jaldindi, is to create awareness regarding water pollution of Pavana River.
Students of various schools which are nearby river have also participated. Students from Pavana Vidya Mandir, has performed Stree play on Pavana river and very nicely explained problems of pavana river and also giving message for cleaning of rivers water. Teachers from school performed pujan of river. Some of our students got the chance to travel through river from boats for monitoring condition of river.
From this Jalmaitry abhiyan, students have really encouraged for creating awareness of water pollution.
